Global Learning
Though each one of my experiences in global learning on campus has been memorable, I am going to take this space to expand upon my 2 favorite experiences.

Global Living Learning Community- Resident and Mentor
-
In 2015 I had the incredible opportunty to live in a living learning community that was focused on global learning and persepctive and to this date it is still the best deciciosn I have made during my time at FIU. My time in the community helped me expand my gloabl perspective, and helped open doors I never would have thought possible. I loved it so much I decided to return as a mentor to the most wonderful group of students I have ever met. As a mentor, I got to help lead and advise my groups on projects that tested my intellect and pespectives, just as they were being tested. I learned so much more from them then I expected to.

Student Leadership Summit Presenter
-
I had the incredible opportunity to be a student leader presenting at the student leadership summit twice.

In 2016 I presented with Lindsey Golstein from the Center for Leadership and Service. She was also one of the leaders with the GLLC. We ran a successful workshop on expanding global leadership through understanding civic responsibility and self awareness. Our inspiration came from the onion scene in the movie 'Shrek' and it ended up being the theme!

In 2017 Gabriela Rojas and I, also from the Center of Leadership and Service, presented on mental health and diversity. We explored mental health in pop culture, and we also expanded upon stigmas in different cultures and communities. This was also a successful workshop because it was discussion heavy and our audience was engaged for the entire presentation.
